Basic Principles
In general, Intellectual Property, if not in the public
domain, have copyright, trademark or patent rules that define
how someone other than the owners can use it. Software, sound
recordings, videos, images, printed material etc. all is protected
by copyright and the owner has the right to decide what rights
a user may be granted. If a person wishes to use or copy someone's
Intellectual Property, it is up to the user to find out what
rights they must have and, if required, ask the owner for
permission to use their Property.
